Description
Pokémon Amethyst features a brand new region called Kulure, which means a brand new adventure, but still the classic Pokémon experience that fans know and love. Along the way, players will encounter rare Pokémon, face off in tough battles, and climb the ranks to become the region’s undefeated Champion.
The game is based on the Complete FireRed Upgrade (CFRU) and has a lot of modern features such as the Fairy type, physical/special split, extended Pokédex, Mega Evolution, and many other gameplay improvements that make the experience better.

- Galarian Farfetch’d now has a 5% chance to hold a Stick, matching the behavior of its Kantonian counterpart.
- Pokémon with the Keen Eye ability are no longer affected by Fog’s accuracy reduction.
- Using the PortaPC, PokeVial, or Infinite Repel from the Key Items pocket will now display a brief explanation of how each item functions.
- Fog mechanics have been adjusted, reducing the accuracy penalty from 60% to 80%, making battles in foggy areas less punishing.
- When the Scaled Wild Pokémon modifier is enabled, the DexNav will now correctly adjust scanned Pokémon to the player's lowest party level.
- Trading with your rival at Scalding Spa now properly records the rival name you selected as the Pokémon’s Original Trainer. (This change only applies to new trades and is not retroactive. Very long names may be shortened.)
- Pokémon in the Kulure Pokédex have had their level-up learnsets updated to match the most recent available games whenever possible:
- Priority order: BDSP → Sword & Shield → Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon
- Pokémon unavailable in Generation 8 retain their Generation 7 learnsets.
- Boss trainer Pokémon have not been modified.
- Certain moves have been replaced where necessary (for example, Ally Switch has been been changed to Skill Swap).
- TM/HM, Egg Move, and Tutor compatibility remain unchanged, except for the Grookey evolutionary line, which now learns additional TM moves to better support Mega Rillaboom.
- Static encounters, in-game trades, gift Pokémon, and trainer teams remain unchanged.
- Several map tiles in Torma Cave have been revised to better represent elevation changes and terrain height differences.
- The miner in Ferrox Village now rewards 5 PokéChips for every fossil successfully excavated.
- Time-based evolution requirements have been standardized:
- Morning and Day now count as Daytime.
- Evening and Night now count as Nighttime.
- Lycanroc (Dusk Form) remains the sole exception and must still evolve specifically during the Evening period.
- EV-training disciples now have 0 IVs instead of 25 IVs, making them more suitable targets for efficient EV training.
- After finishing the New Game customization setup, the game will now automatically apply Fast Text Speed and Stereo Sound settings.
- A breakable rock in Hesson Pass has been relocated, ensuring the game can be completed even without obtaining Rock Smash.
- Bug Fixes & Improvements
- Newly obtained Eggs can now hatch properly when the Instant Friendship game modifier is enabled.
- Roaming Pokémon no longer appear in the top-left corner of the map while exploring the Uteyan Ruins overworld.
- Incorrect item information for the Pixie Plate has been fixed. Existing Pixie Plates in save files will be corrected automatically.
- The descriptions of the PokéChip Charm and Catching Charm have been updated to better reflect their actual effects.
- A grammatical error in the Uteyan Ruins four-tablet puzzle has been corrected.
- The explanation for how the "Keep Consumables After Battle" game modifier works has been clarified.
- The roamer found on the western isle will no longer begin roaming after entering the Hall of Fame unless it has already been encountered.
- An issue where using the Porta PC from the Key Items pocket could cause the game to crash or reset has been fixed.
- The Sitrus Berry description has been corrected.
- A bug that allowed players to move away from Stella during the TM reward sequence has been resolved.
- A visual issue affecting DexNav usage in Carnelidge Volcano while environmental tremors were occurring has been fixed.
- A crash that could occur when battling the postgame Blissey trainer on Hard Mode has been resolved.
- An issue that caused the default male name Edward (now renamed Eddy) to display corrupted characters has been corrected.
- Champion and postgame progression handling has been improved. Receiving the Victory Flag now automatically clears the Champion flag to prevent progression inconsistencies, and postgame NPCs and events are now refreshed whenever the player enters the Hall of Fame.
- Several Route 2 tiles that were intended to be traversed using Surf have been fixed.
- A bug that could cause a shiny Frogadier to lose its shiny status after evolving has been resolved.
- An issue where the Shiny game modifier did not always make the player's starter Pokémon shiny has been fixed.
- Question 6 in the Tsarvosa City Gym puzzle has been corrected and now includes a valid answer.
- A bug causing broken textboxes to appear when speaking to the Ferrox miner while carrying the ADM has been fixed.
- The book layout in the Ferrox Village Library has been adjusted to make the intended letter order easier to understand.
- An issue that prevented Ultra Wormholes from being interacted with when Silvally was holding a Memory Disc has been resolved.
- A bugged hidden item on Route 20 has been removed.
- A bug that allowed Mega Stones, Primal Orbs, and Z-Crystals to be removed by Knock Off has been fixed. These items now properly follow Generation 6 Knock Off mechanics.
- Several text display issues related to the Slowpoke News daily event have been corrected.
- The incorrect casino price for Weakness Policies in Daimyn City has been fixed.
- A misleading Hard Level Cap message shown after earning the Tsarvosa City Gym Badge has been corrected, as the cap increases shortly afterward.

- The pause menu’s time display has been updated to show the current period of the day as MRN (Morning), DAY (Daytime), EVE (Evening), or NGT (Night).

- A second Options Menu page has been introduced, featuring additional customization settings, including:

- Players can now obtain 999 Rare Candies by interacting with the mailbox outside their house five consecutive times without leaving the area. This feature was added to make challenge runs, such as Nuzlockes, less time-consuming and more accessible.

- Skips most story events all the way to the credits while providing a brief summary of the objectives and progression.
