Description

This project is the first Generation 4+ title to be developed as a decompilation-based enhancement, meaning parts of the original game have been reverse-engineered and rewritten in readable code such as C and assembly.

Because of this technical foundation, it becomes possible to expand the game far beyond its original limits. New Pokémon from Generations 5 and 6 have been added, along with fully functional Mega Evolutions, all of which are usable throughout the game.

The result is a modernized version of the original experience, combining classic gameplay structure with expanded mechanics and a significantly larger roster of Pokémon.

After 500 hours of development spread across 8 months, Garbage Gold is finally ready for release.
