Description

If you’ve ever played a Kanto adventure, you probably remember the early grind through Viridian Forest, facing Caterpie and Weedle, and the familiar first Gym challenge against Brock with a well-prepared team. You might also recall common strategies like choosing Bulbasaur for an early type advantage or preparing for the infamous Zubat-filled caves of Mt. Moon.

This project removes that predictability entirely, replacing it with a version of Kanto where nothing is guaranteed. Every playthrough offers a different experience, with new Pokémon appearing in familiar places. One run might have Starly, Wurmple, and Weedle in the forest, while another features Pidgey, Blipbug, and Scatterbug, and yet another introduces completely different combinations. Gym Leaders and Trainers are also randomized, meaning any of eighteen possible Leaders could end up ruling Pewter City.

Unlike traditional randomizers that can break game balance by introducing extremely powerful Pokémon too early, this version preserves the natural progression of difficulty. Early routes still feature weaker Pokémon, while stronger encounters appear later in the journey. However, the specific Pokémon you encounter will always be different, ensuring no two playthroughs feel the same.

The result is a familiar Kanto experience in structure and spirit, but one that constantly surprises you with fresh encounters and unpredictable challenges.
