Pokémon Pure Heart and Pokémon True Soul are personal projects based on Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, created as a reimagined version of the Johto experience.
Rather than trying to include every modern quality-of-life feature or unlocking the full regional Pokédex before the Pokémon League, the focus is on carefully chosen adjustments ranging from small refinements to more significant gameplay changes.
These projects represent a personal vision of the ideal Johto adventure, preserving the identity and pacing of the original games while enhancing them in ways that reflect the creator’s preferred experience.
